B.B.F. president appointed as vice president of COCABA
President of the Basketball Federation of Belize, Paul Thompson, is the newly elected Vice President of the Confederation of Central American Basketball (COCABA). On Saturday, representatives from member states attended the annual congress meeting in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and Thompson was voted into the executive. Also elected to the executive was Yamil Bukele of El Salvador as President and Marcela Mejia as Secretary. All three will serve a four-year term which ends in 2018. COCABA includes the basketball federations of eight countries: Belize, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama.
