Paralysed mother makes more steps to full recovery
Left paralysed after a shooting near her home in Taylor’s Alley, tonight twenty-three year Lisa Garoy continues to amaze her doctors in defiance of their prognosis that she would never walk again. We caught up with Garoy and her now seven month old son, Leroy, at home where she told News Five’s Karla Vernon about her latest achievements in the battle to regain control of her legs and life.

Garoy receives daily therapy at the K.H.M.H. Twenty year old Brandel Michael is on remand at Hattieville prison pending trial for the attempted murder of Garoy and her baby. It is alleged that Michael opened fire in Taylor’s Alley on December seventeenth in retaliation for a shooting earlier that night involving the father of Lisa’s baby, Leroy Rhaburn and two of her relatives.
