Mexican fined for gun possession in Corozal
A Mexican national arrested on Friday for firearm offences has been fined. Thirty-four year old David Rendon appeared in Corozal Magistrate’s Court today where he pled guilty to two counts each of possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition. He was fined ten thousand dollars on each count or in default four years in jail. Acting on a tip, police searched Rendon’s hotel room where they discovered two loaded Berretta and Sig Sauer pistols, along with additional ammo in a plastic bag.
