P.G. shooting leaves resident injured
A brazen shooting in the Toledo district over the weekend has left a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Police reports out of Punta Gorda are that around eight-thirty on Friday night, forty-three year old Eric Flowers was walking into his yard on West Street when someone he knew walked up to him, pointed a shotgun in his direction, and pulled the trigger. Flowers was able to dodge most of the pellets, but did sustain injuries to his right arm. He was taken to the Punta Gorda hospital for treatment. With a description of the shooter in hand, cops continue to look for the prime suspect.
