Father charged with rape of son
A thirty-five year old Belize City man is behind bars tonight accused of raping his son. According to the police, the nine year old told his mother that on March fifth, he was at home with his father when he was taken to a bedroom and raped. Medical examinations have certified that the child was molested. This morning the parent was charged with the indictable offence of committing an unnatural crime and remanded to Hattieville Prison until April seventh. In the aftermath of his ordeal, the victim is being counselled by social workers from the Ministry of Human Development.
