Single engine Cessna found in Spanish Lookout was used to transport drugs
On Tuesday night we reported that a single engine plane had crashed landed at Spanish Lookout, Cayo and left abandoned on a feeder road. The pilot or passengers were nowhere to be found when law enforcement officers got to the scene. All that was left of the CESSNA were portions of the wing and tails since the aircraft had been destroyed by fire. The six-seater mystery plane immediately became suspect. Well today, police confirmed the aircraft was used to transport illicit drugs, but the whereabouts of the cargo, believed to be cocaine, is unknown. It has also been determined that the plane was deliberately set on fire. According to our sources, it is not the first time that planes have been spotted in the area, but the pilots have been able to elude the police.
