Belizean teen kidnapping is case of mistaken identity
A Belizean teen kidnapped in Los Angeles earlier this week may not have been the intended target. According to media reports out of California, police believe thirteen year old Kalan Dapson was mistaken for someone else by the two men who took him at gunpoint from his uncle’s Inglewood home. The boy told police he was blindfolded and driven around in a car for several hours. When they reached San Diego, the kidnappers then let Dapson go, instructing him to take a bus home. Dapson was found by police at a Los Angeles bus station after someone phoned in an anonymous tip. The two men have yet to be arrested.
