City Rotaract Club feeds homeless
We often pass them as we make our way by Battlefield Park in Belize City, but just how many of us have stopped to give a helping hand to those who–for whatever reason–have no place to call home. The men and women often beg for meals or go hungry, but today members from the Belize City Rotaract Club brought to the park one hundred meals of rice and beans, chicken, stuffing, and salad along with bottles of juice. According to President Mark Bowman, his club is celebrating their annual week and the feeding programme is just one of many activities forming part of the observance.

?Rotaract is an organization who deals mostly with community service, dealing with the homeless people, and also with children. But today?s event is set aside for the homeless so we decided to do something strange. Instead of giving them breakfast, which we did yesterday morning at five-thirty, we decided to do lunch with them.?
?Today?s activity was brought through the Skeen family, Kenneth Skeen and Crystal juices, Mister Mike Kelly who donated and assisted us in giving back to our community.?
Next week the Belmopan and Cayo Rotaract clubs will celebrate their week. Rotaract Day will be observed on March thirteenth.
