U.S. snorkeller dies at Hol Chan Marine Reserve
Another tourist has drowned, this time while snorkelling at the Hol Chan Marine Reserve off Ambergris Caye. Police report that around noon on Sunday sixty-five year old Deanne Kennedy was with a group of swimmers when she began having trouble in the water. She was immediately taken to the San Pedro Clinic, but was pronounced dead on arrival. While authorities do not suspect foul play, a post mortem has been scheduled to certify the cause of death.
