PUC approves increase in water rates
More details will become available on Tuesday at a press conference, but we can confirm tonight that the Public Utilities Commission has approved an increase in water rates by the Belize Water Services Limited, BWSL. The Commission has given the green light to a revised Business Plan and Regulated Values of more than fourteen million dollars in capital investments. As a result, rates will be going up by an average of six point nine percent. The exception will be Caye Caulker Branch where rates will be unchanged.
