American charged with murder of San Pedro caretaker

In crime news from Ambergris Caye, police have arrested and charged sixty-six year old William Donald Campbell for murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. On February third, island police visited a house in the Tres Cocos area where they found Campbell and an employee, Danielo Villatoro. Villatoro had been fatally shot in the head and Campbell displayed bullet wounds to the left side of his chest. Investigating officers have determined that Campbell and Villatoro were the only ones at the scene at the time of the incident. But whether the two had made some sort of suicide pact is still unclear tonight, as we are told that Campbell is not cooperating with the official investigation.
