Belize City man arrested for Wednesday night shooting
A Belize City man has been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting incident earlier this week. According to police, nineteen year old Egbert Arnold is the man who fired several gunshots in the direction of twenty-eight year old Troy Trapp on Wednesday night. Arnold has since been charged with attempted murder, use of deadly means of harm, and wounding. He appeared in Magistrate’s Court today where he was denied bail and remanded to Hattieville prison until March seventeenth. Trapp was standing at the corner of King and Plues streets when an armed man chased and shot him, injuring him in the back. Trapp was treated at the K.H.M.H. and released.
