Notorious bad man shot and wounded … again

Two gunshots rang out last night on the south side of Belize City, and when the commotion cleared, a familiar figure lay wounded. News Five’s Jacqueline Woods caught up with him today at the K.H.M.H.

?I done get inna my yard?I mi deh inna my hard already and I gone out gone buy a weed. And when I come back now dah because a man deh inna my yard di wait for me with a gun. But same way I see ah when he di raise his hand and I rush into ah, you get the sense? I rush into ah and then I hear the shot bust. Bam, bam, bam bam, bam, bam! Then I feel one inna my head.?

It is not the first time that twenty-five year old Herman Morris better known as ?Yagga? has been in trouble. Morris, who has been charged countless of times for crimes ranging from murder to robbery, claims he does not know who shot him or why the person wanted him dead.

The bullet is lodged in Morris?s forehead just above the right eye and this evening he was scheduled to undergo an operation to remove it.

(Morris screaming)

As we spent time with Morris he became unstable banginghis foot on the table, shaking in bed, and pulling at the drip in his hand. Morris claims he has been trying to do the right thing and live for his two small children.

Morris says he knows he has not been a role model, but does not know if he will ever be able to live a normal life.

The shooter is described as a short, dark young man who was wearing a camouflage T?shirt. The suspect got way by driving off in a brown Toyota Corolla. Jacqueline Woods for News Five.

Police say they have yet to detain anyone in this latest shooting.
