Man charged for Assault with a flower

In another case before Magistrate Aretha Ford, twenty-eight year old Devon Jones pleaded guilty to a charge of Common Assault. But it was not the average charge since Jones could not help but giggle as he explained to the Magistrate that he threw a piece of a flower at his girlfriend, Tracey Terry, because she started cursing him in front of their child. He said he meant nothing by it since he is not the type to argue. According to Jones, even the officer who took his report after the incident found the charge hilarious. Jones did not hesitate to plead guilty and while the offense could carry a jail term, Magistrate Ford fined him a hundred dollars plus five dollars cost of court. He has until August twenty-eighth to pay and left court in a jovial mood.
