Police confirm that a Santana resident was murdered
While police are investigating the death of Orseline Wallace Gabourel, Ladyville Police have detained one man for the death of Santana Village resident, Maurice Dennison Young. On Tuesday evening, the fifty-eight year old man was found dead and decomposed in the bushes behind his home. Police have officially confirmed that it was a homicide, following a post-mortem examination done on the site in Santana Wednesday morning. News Five interviewed friends of Young who very specifically claimed that he was seen as late as Monday evening in the village. Here’s that clip recorded on Wednesday.

“Tuko come and hail me afta Maskall bus pass Monday evening, yu understand…bout round seven-fifteen, seven-thirty, something like that. So he refer to me that he gwein round by Sheena, a lady weh live right up the street, bout three house from me. Weh happen is that I neva hear Tuko pass back and my dogs neva bark and afterwards I drop asleep. Tuesday morning I come and look fu Tuko and can’t find Tuko.”
The post-mortem examination has now certified that Young died sometime on Saturday, at least seventy-two hours before his body was discovered. That would explain the extreme state of decomposition of the body. News Five understands that even as Tuko was being buried on Wednesday Police received information which led them to a suspect who was detained very early this morning. We have also confirmed that Police have recovered certain items which have assisted them in their investigation, and they expect the case to be closed shortly.
