Names announced for 2014 Hurricane Season
The names for the 2014 Hurricane Season have been released. The season is less than a week away and already tropical storm Amanda has formed and Accuweather reports that it is located some thirty miles south-southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico. TS Amanda, up to news time, has maximum sustained winds of forty miles per hour and is the first tropical storm of the 2014 season for the Eastern Pacific. TS Amanda is reportedly a few days from the Mexican coastline as it travels in a slow west-northwestward movement and there are favorable conditions for further development. While there are no areas of interest for development in the East Pacific at this time, the storm is being closely monitored. The predicted names are for the season are Boris, Cristina, Douglas, Elida, Fausto, Genevieve, Hernan, Iselle, Julio, Karina, Lowell, Marie Norbert, Odile, Polo, Rachel, Simon, Trudy, Vance, Winnie, Xavier, Yolanda and Zeke.
