Two die in Hummingbird Highway accident
A weekend traffic accident on the Hummingbird Highway has left two men dead and two others with serious injuries. According to authorities, around eleven on Friday night, Lindon Lewis was driving his white Toyota Hilux towards Belmopan when he lost control of the vehicle between miles thirty and thirty-one. The truck ran into a hill and overturned. Two passengers inside the cab: twenty-three year old Augusto Woodeye and twenty-one year old Winston Smith sustained severe head and body injuries and died at the scene. The driver and another man, twenty-one year old Leeson Reyes were transported to the Belmopan Hospital where they were admitted in critical condition. We understand that since then both men have been discharged, but continue to recover from their injuries. The men are all relatives and up to news time tonight, no charges had been filed against Lindon Lewis.
