Thieves jack $7,000 in liquor from N. Hwy Brodie’s

Story PictureTonight Belize City police continue to investigate a booze burglary that occurred at the Brodie’s branch on the Northern Highway. According to authorities, sometime between eight on Wednesday night and eight on Thursday morning, a thief or thieves broke into the building and stole more than seven thousand dollars worth of liquor. A check by the store managers have revealed that the missing bottles include four cases of Heineken beer, two cases of Dewar’s Whiskey, one case of Canada Club whiskey, one case of Bailey’s, and twenty bottles of Smirnoff Vodka. We understand that those being questioned by investigators include members of the construction crew currently completing an expansion project to the rear of the building.
