Lloyd Alexander King committed to stand trial for murder of Ronald Rivers

Lloyd Alexander King, accused of the cold-blooded murder of Belize City tour guide Ronald Rivers in March 2013, appeared unrepresented before Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser earlier today, where a preliminary case for murder concluded.  In court this morning, Inspector Hector Rodriguez submitted as many as twelve witness statements, as well as an autopsy report from Dr. Mario Estradaban who performed a post mortem examination on Rivers.  When asked if he had any alibi witnesses, King responded by telling the court that he did not have anyone who can vouch for him.  Nonetheless, he has been given until June tenth to provide an alibi witness.  On March fourth, 2014, Ronald Rivers, a star basketball player, was ambushed and shot near the corners of Youth for the Future Drive and Vernon Street as he worked on his vehicle.  He was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he underwent several surgeries to remove a point thirty-eight slug which was lodge in his body.  After three weeks of unsuccessful treatment, River succumbed to his injury.   The case against Lloyd Alexander King for murder has been committed to the October session of the Supreme Court.
