Foreign Affairs Minister speaks on meeting with Guatemala counterparts
In early June, Minister of Foreign Affairs Wilfred Elrington led a delegation to the forty-fourth regular session of the O.A.S. General Assembly held in Paraguay. This wasn’t a scheduled session for ongoing discussions on the new roadmap created to strengthen the Belize – Guatemala relationship. Elrington told News Five today that he did meet with his Guatemalan counterpart, but there were no official discussions, just a cordial exchange of information.
Wilfred ‘Sedi’ Elrington, Minister of Foreign Affairs
“He and I met but I don’t think we discussed anything really dealing with Belize. We have a very clear roadmap which we had signed indicating how we will proceed with a view to strengthening the relationship between us. That is going very well indeed. I always meet with the Guatemalan Foreign Minister at this international forums and I like to talk to him because I always find out what Guatemala is doing in relation to their own development and see to what extent we can emulate them. They have been very active. They go all over the world trying to solicit assistance, trying to solicit support for Belize and for themselves in resolving the dispute. So we always share ideas. So I did meet with him. We did chat, but we already had in place a regime for dealing with the Belize/Guatemala issue.”
This man just another token in this corrupt gov.
Bumbling fool!
