Mother of nine pleads for public’s help to get surgery

Story PictureIn this next story, we introduce you to a woman who has endured more pain and suffering in the last twelve months than most will in a lifetime. Last November, forty-five year old Ann Tiabo gave birth to twin boys in a Chetumal hospital, but within hours the newborns passed away. Now a year later, Tiabo finds herself in a similar state as on November second, she returned to the same Mexican medical facility where she gave birth to triplets, two boys and a girl. Sadly, they lived only one hour. Coupled with the grief of her loss, doctors had more bad news for the mother of nine: her heart and kidneys are giving out on her and there is water in her lungs. Without surgery, her chances of survival are slim. Tonight, the desperate Cayo resident is appealing to the Belizean community for financial assistance for the emergency surgery.
