Belizeans Robbed in Playa Del Carmen

Two Belizeans were attacked by three unidentified persons in Playa del Carmen over the weekend. According to Police reports from that area, authorities were called to downtown Playa del Carmen at around two-thirty Saturday morning where they discovered twenty-five year old Abner Torres with a wound to the left side of his face. Torres, who was with his cousin Alexis Aragon, told Police that they were on the beach behind the Blue Parrot nightclub when three men attacked without provocation and without saying anything. The assailants got away with cell phones from both Belizeans, as well as with Aragon’s purse.  According to the reports, the assailants continue to elude authorities.
