Belizean Minor Found Nude and Beaten in Cancun

Mexican newspapers are reporting that a Belizean minor was found in the nude and in a drunken stupor in a bushy area of Cancun where she has reportedly been in a relationship with Mexican national. Residents of the area did not respond to screams and later on Sunday morning, the fourteen year old girl was discovered by a jogger. She had bruises on the arms and there is an allegation that she had been raped and beaten. The young girl who has since been placed in the state of Quintana Roo’s protective custody has now told police that she has been using drugs. The news reports also say that the Red Cross and EMTs were called to the scene where she was examined and subsequently transported to a general hospital for medical attention. While she has admitted that she is from Belize, her name is still unconfirmed.
