McAfee Arrested in Tennessee for Driving Under the Influence
In recent days, not much has been heard about the John McAfee, the eccentric millionaire who remains a person of interest in the murder his neighbour, Gregory Saul in San Pedro back in 2011. But on Sunday night, according to U.S. newspaper accounts, McAfee was arrested in Tennessee, where he has taken up residence. He was booked for driving under the influence and possession of a handgun while intoxicated. McAfee immediately took to social media to defend himself, saying he was under the influence of panic attack drug Xanax, which he had just started taking and that he had not been advised he should not drive while taking the drug. In respect of the gun, he claims he always carries one and had broken no laws. It is surely not the last we’ll hear about McAfee because he is also the subject of a documentary about his life that will be released in the U.S.
