U.S. State Department Issues Release on Chiquibul Shooting

Apart from the O.A.S. and Mexico issuing statements on the latest developments between Belize and Guatemala, the U.S. State Department made a brief comment on the escalated tension.  The press statement by Assistant Secretary and Department Spokesperson John Kirby, says, “We are deeply concerned by reports today that a child was killed and two family members injured in the disputed area between Guatemala and Belize known as the Adjacency Zone.”  The diplomatic arm of the United States Government encourages Belize and Guatemala to cooperate fully with the O.A.S. Adjacency Zone Office and to continue in the confidence building measures agreed upon in 2005.

Typical US response. How about being deeply concerned with the Belizean Constable who was killed. BELIZE LIVES MATTER!!!! It is obvious as an elephant in a closet that Guatemala is the aggressor, yet the Americans are supplying the Guatemalans with training, arms and drones.
We let the Americans use Belizean soil as a listening base for Central America and the Caribbean.
How about standing up for the truth and the Belizean people……

The US should try to get the story straight: this all happened out side of the zone, I guess the BDF should have allowed themselves to be used for target practice! We do not go over there and we want nothing that they have.
