Joseph Budna is Assaulted in Guatemalan Prison

There are also reports that Belizean Joseph Budna was attacked in a prison in retaliation for the death of the thirteen-year-old boy killed in la Cebada, Chiquibul last Wednesday. The incident occurred at Cantel prison in Quetzaltenango; five persons were injured in the chaos and three were taken for medical treatment. It is believed that Budna was attacked by twelve prisoners to avenge the death of Juan Alvarado Ruano. The prison authorities said they will investigate. Budna is imprisoned on charges of kidnapping and abduction. His health condition is not known.

The same ones fighting over the death of the young man, are the same ones who would not have given him bread to eat if he were on the streets begging. Yet now they want to fight people over his death. I’m sorry the young man died but it could have easily been one of our BDF who were fired upon first that could have died. Our BDF do not go patroling to kill guats, no, i could never believe that.
