Guatemalan President Rejects Claim that Julio Alvarado was Shot in Self-Defense

In Guatemala City, La Nacion Newspaper is reporting a protest in front of the Belize Embassy by about two dozen protestors bearing placards with the names of ten Guatemalans that they claim have been killed in Belize since 1999. President Jimmy Morales told reporters today that he hopes that those responsible for the death of the thirteen year old boy killed last Wednesday in the Cebada area of the Chiquibul will be punished for the crime.  Morales told reporters that the O.A.S. will carry out the investigation into the death of Julio Alvarado which caused a flare-up of tensions between Belize and Guatemala. Morales also rejected the claim that the boy was shot in self-defence. He told reporters, that the way in which the minor died with eight bullet wounds, four on his back and one on his eye, it cannot be justified that it was a case of legitimate defence. Plain and simple, he said, there was abuse of force and an excess on the part of the authorities.  The newspaper also reports on the amassing of troops to avoid new incidents.

Good, they should have amassed troops long time along the border so as to stop their citizens from crossing over into Belize territory and doing what they want.

Un mensaje para el Payaso Morales:

Payaso Morales!
    Atentamente,

    A Message for Clown Morales:

Clown Morales! Yes, you, as*h**e. Stop escalating dangerously what can be solved professionally with the goal towards peace. I know that part of your strategy is to try to satisfy the oligarchy of Guatemala by ordering your military to get aggressive and by firing up the Peten plebeian to enter Belize to illegally satisfy themselves from its natural resources. But what those poor peasants don’t know is that if your plan succeeds, you, by orders of your oligarchy, will put them, the peasants, back to eating sh*t, while your close circle will take full possession of those resources. Now, the other part of your plan is to take attention away from the problems in Guatemala due to your incompetence. You are playing with fire and with innocent lives in both countries, both civil and military lives. Say it ain’t so, as*h**e!

    Sincerely,

    Guatemalan, nationalized Belizean with pride

This is the type of publicity we need for all the crap the Guats have been doing!

But we just try to remain quiet hoping the problem will just go away!

The only Justicia they deserve is to respect the boarder! I wonder what would happen if they just stop their crap and leave us alone? You got it there would be no problem because we have never messed with them!

  4. belizean gyal says:

Mr Morales is talking nonsense, how can he say excess force was used because the young man was shot several times, I’m pretty sure it was more than one BDF firing back in self defense so logically the boy would have gotten hit several times. I don’t think he would be so understanding if a child was shooting at him, bet he wouldn’t lay down his life because it was a child!
