Diabetes Association Now Has Branch in Corozal

On Tuesday, we shared the staggering diabetes statistics. Latest numbers show that the disease is on the rise in Belize and that more than fifty-thousand persons are afflicted.  During World Diabetes Day activities, President of the Belize Diabetes Association Anthony Castillo said that all partners are needed to tackle diabetes. The association has been working across the country, and has expanded to open a branch in Corozal.

“The branch of the Belize Diabetes Association is being opened in Corozal. They get started today. It is being led by Miss Judith Mendez.”
