Belize Reinstated to RADO
The National Anti-doping Organization, NADO, has a new director, following the Brandon Cattouse fiasco earlier this year which resulted in Belize’s suspension from the Regional Anti-doping Organization. The incoming director is well-known sports enthusiast and former footballer Carlos ‘Charlie’ Slusher. In a letter from the regional body dated November twenty-seventh, RADO informs that after evaluating the points raised in a letter of commitment sent by the local organization, it has unanimously agreed by vote to reinstate Belize once again as an official member of RADO. Slusher replaces Dr. Michael Pitts as director of NADO. Back in August, there was controversy surrounding NADO, following the suspension of cyclist Brandon Cattouse who reportedly tested positive for a banned substance.
