67-Year-Old Man Needs Your Help
Wilmore Joseph
Belize City resident, Wilmore Joseph needs your help. The sixty-seven-year-old man is suffering from several health complications which you would find in many men around his age in Belize. But for Joseph, his health challenges get more complicated because he is alone. He currently suffered a stroke, which caused him to fall and suffer a blow to the head. He is also suffering from a hernia for which he has to take an operating for on March eight. Joseph says he needs about five hundred dollars. It might sound like a small amount of money for some, but for Joseph, it is a lot given that he is unable to work and has no family. Today, Joseph stopped by our studious to tell us more.

“March the eight is my date to get my surgery for the hernia. The blood on my brains I need at least an OP to take the blood and that will have to be done in Mexico or Guatemala.”

“So how much money are we talking about?”

“For this, I don’t need to pay, the head business because the Lions are helping me. But I need to get the operation and the operation cost five hundred dollars for the hernia. I am alone in a little shed. But I still embrace life, living in there because I can’t do better.”

“You are not able to work?”
Wilmore Joseph
“I can’t because the stroke got me down. If I pick up a bottle in my hand it drops. It don’t drink in glass because of that reason.”

“Because of the stroke?”
Wilmore Joseph
“Yes.”

“What about family members?”
Wilmore Joseph
“I’ll tell you the truth, I had for kids but they all got gassed up in a fire in Bermudian Landing. So I don’t have any intimate family. I will like the public to look out for this and give me a little help, it doesn’t matter how small but every little bit counts. That’s all I want from the public, just a little bit of help. Take me out of this pain and this misery.”
