Mother is Furious and Threatens to Sue Hospital

His mother, Maureen Staine, is furious because, she says, the doctors at the K.H.M.H. assured her that, following x-rays which she did not see, her son was well. Additionally, Staine says her son did not receive adequate service while being hospitalized.

“He just said everything is fine. I took their word. I had faith in Karl Heusner because I did surgeries there before and I had no problem but the service we have now, no. something is wrong. My son got into the accident and my son’s face was a mess. I had to literally beg them to clean the blood from his face that they didn’t clean. For them to clean his wound, I had to ask them until I reached to the point where I gave him his shower myself, I changed his bed and I changed the gown they gave him to use. When he came back and said my hand was broken, I said “what?” Then he showed me the x-ray. I’m serious, I was surprised. I was really, really surprise. I told them it was their problem and it’s their fault that my child is this way. The reason is that they did not give him the proper attention he needed.”

“I’m going to sue them. And I am seriously going to do it. I will show the public to stand up for themselves because that is what they need to do. Don’t let people take advantage of you. The money is not the issue. It’s the dignity and the principle behind what they thing their rule is and what they should have been doing from a long time ago.”

We reached out to the K.H.M.H. and Public Relations officer Tylon Tillett says that they have seen a complaint that the family has lodged and will be investigating the matter.
