The Toledo West Area Representative, Oscar Requeña is also taking on the issue. The parliamentarian is calling on the Ministries of Health and Environment to properly address the matter immediately.
Oscar Requeña, Area Rep., Toledo West
“They are calling upon the Minister of Health and the Ministry of Environment to immediately address this matter because this cannot continue that way. It is having very severe impact on the health of our people in the surrounding areas and they are very concerned and they want this matter to cease and desist immediately. I want the Ministry of Health to immediately address this matter. I want the Ministry of Environment to ensure that they enforce that press release that they sent out and to hold those people who are doing this responsible. I will tell you the people have stood up yesterday and they will continue to voice their concern. If it goes unnoticed and it goes unchecked Hipolito we will do what we have to do to bring this matter to a close. It is totally unacceptable.”
