Screening Infographics Updated 3:00 p.m. Daily
Doctor Manzanero also gave an overview of how the testing data is being shared. As you know by now, the number of positive cases remains at eighteen, which includes the two deaths. The Ministry of Health shares the daily update on the status every afternoon following the lab results.
Dr. Marvin Manzanero, Director of Health Services
“Whatever test result is out by three p.m. that is when the infographics is cut off and that is when the information is shared. What happened is that from Tuesday three p.m. to Tuesday three p.m., no results had been put up in the system and that is why you didn’t see any change. It doesn’t mean that the lab has stopped working. It just means that the lab may be processing samples, extractions and depending when the samples are coming from the different areas. So, that is the reason why when we had a cut off time yesterday you didn’t get an updated test results. I can tell you right now that I don’t know how many samples were ran yesterday but after five p.m. those results were out and all of those are negative and should be reflected in the report that should come out after three p.m. today. One other piece of information that you should be seeing changed is the total number of people tested because some people have been tested more than once so it really should be reflecting the total number of tests done so we should be making that change in the infographics for later on today.”
