Faber Says Students Should Be Prepared for C-SEX Exams
According to Minister Faber, students and teachers should now be getting ready to sit the exams in July, even though they were not in the classrooms due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Faber says that someone fell asleep at the wheel.
Patrick Faber, Minister of Education
“We have a tendency in our country to believe that when things likes this happen that we can just sit back and that is what really I am trying to deter. I would want everybody to still remain very focus even though we were, take the CXC, CSEC and CAPE for instance we warned. There were some media houses who were saying that the exams were canceled and we were saying profusely that it was not cancelled and that people really need to still be ready. So when I hear entities saying we are not ready it meant to me then people slept at the wheel while we were supposed to be keeping seriously at our task of being prepared and being ready despite the fact that we were not in the classroom. We still have time whether it is the beginning in July, middle of July, third week in July for CSEC and CAPE for us to take this very seriously and for us to prepare and so it should be with all else that is going on.”
