American Airlines Cuts Belize from Schedule

During the lengthy press conference that concluded around five-thirty, Prime Minister Dean Barrow received an update from American Airlines regarding the government’s decision not to open the P.G.I.A. on August fifteenth. If you do delay the airport reopening to September I cannot provide a firm date of when we would resume service. We are currently in the midst of cutting capacity out of our September and October schedule. We therefore we may end up canceling this market longer term in the event of the closure extends pass our currently plan resumption of August eighteenth.”
