Allure Nightclub’s Statement on COVID-19 Situation on Island
The largest number of positive cases is in San Pedro due to a community spread. According to the Ministry of Health, the actual source of the current infections is unclear, but the ministry states that a number of cases are linked to the first cluster. The second cluster is related to Living Word Church in San Pedro Town. The number of confirmed and suspected symptomatic cases is being linked to a church service held around mid-July and the contacts and those potentially exposed are being followed on the island. Now, as many as forty-two active cases on the island are linked to activities at the Allure Nightclub, between July sixteenth and nineteenth. Earlier today, Allure nightclub issued a statement stating that it has been using the best methods possible to sanitize and constantly clean the environment. Accordingly, people move the virus and where there are people; there is a high risk of spreading it. Allure ends its statement urging people to stay home, be responsible, wear masks and wash hands. Persons who were at the club during the period and, are symptomatic are asked to call the Ministry’s hotline.
