Three COVID-19 Patients Intubated!
Five more patients have recovered from the coronavirus, which brings the total of recovered patients to forty-three. A sixth person has now been deemed to have died due to COVID-19 and, according to Doctor Marvin Manzanero, three persons remain intubated at the K.H.M.H.
Dr. Marvin Manzanero, Director of Health Services
“At Karl Heusner we have three intubated patients and two in the area that is the COVID-19 area that are not intubated. My understanding from the Karl Heusner staff is that one of those persons may actually be discharged today—one of the non-intubated patients. So it is one male and two females that are intubated at Karl Heusner. Southern Health Region Hospital also has one patient that is more than likely going to be discharge later today. As you know, we have had five deaths that are associated to SARS COVID TWO and we have a sixth case that SARS COVID TWO is not necessarily listed as the primary reason why the patient died, but the patient was positive for SARS COVID TWO. So even though that is not classified as the direct cause of death, international clarification cites that you report it as SARS COVID case that has died as a result.”
