Recovery from COVID-19 Will Take Months for Some Patients
According to the Director of Health Services, it will take some patients several months to recover from the symptoms of COVID-19. He says that the observation is similar to dengue hemorrhagic fever.

“We’re also being made aware that some persons, after they have converted and the result is negative, some persons are still having some level of respiratory distress. Some people are still referring to back pain, weakness, general malaise and this part of what has been described in the literature as, it can happen. I mean it reminds me of dengue. When people have had hemorrhagic dengue they take up to three months to recover. With SARS COVID-2 people have different signs and symptoms that can last for also extended periods and it can be weeks and months as has been described in the literature elsewhere.”
