37 New COVID-19 Cases
There are thirty-seven new cases of COVID-19; that’s the official figures coming out of the Ministry of Health as of September twenty-eighth. An analysis of the infographic shows that there are now one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one confirmed cases for the country of which six hundred and fifty-nine are active and one thousand two hundred and eight have recovered. Twelve persons recovered in the last twenty-four hours. The data shows that the Orange Walk District has recorded the most confirmed cases with six hundred and eighty-two of which two hundred and forty-six are still active. Corozal has also become of interest and is now showing one hundred and nine active cases; Belize District has one hundred and ten active infections while Cayo has one hundred and eight. Toledo and Stann Creek are still showing the lowest numbers of thirteen and ten active cases, respectively. San Pedro, which was the initial epicentre of the virus for the country has recorded three hundred and five confirmed cases and only sixty-three are currently active. In respect of deaths, twenty-four persons have died to the virus.
