Only 1 COVID-19 Hospitalized at Northern Regional Hospital
With rising COVID numbers in Orange Walk, there is added stress on the Northern Regional Hospital which is the main facility in the north for the hospitalization of critical COVID-19 patients. That aside, the NRH has to treat other patients and also engage in contact tracing. DHS Marvin Manzanero says that fortunately at this time there is only one COVID-19 patient hospitalized at the NRH.

“The other routine activities have to continue to happen. It is not only everything COVID-19 related, but there are many items that one can highlight. There was a pregnant woman that was referred from Corozal to Orange Walk, who has delivered by C-section and both the female and the child were doing okay.”

“In terms of beds; I know you said there had a capacity of twelve, I believe. Do they still have space?”
Dr. Marvin Manzanero
“They only have one patient hospitalised in today’s report.”
