2 Additional COVID-19 Deaths; 37 New Confirmed Cases

There are two additional COVID-19 deaths to report tonight, bringing the total deaths to ninety-six and the fatality rate to one point nine-five percent in Belize.  On Tuesday night, a female in her late fifties from Orange Walk and a man in his seventies from Belmopan succumbed to the virus. There were also thirty-seven new cases of COVID-19 detected in a batch of one hundred and sixty-six samples that were processed. These cases are from around the country. There are fifty-two recoveries, but there are still forty-three point nine eight percent of active cases or two thousand one hundred and sixty-four persons with the virus.
