Taiwan Donates 15,000 COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Tests
Thanks to the Taiwanese Embassy in Belize, there can be even more rapid test drives. That’s because, on Thursday, the Embassy of Taiwan handed over a donation of fifteen thousand COVID-19 antigen rapid tests to the Ministry of Health and Wellness. The gift comes at a value of three hundred thousand Belize dollars. The tests were developed by ForaCare, a Taiwanese company, and can determine results in as little as fifteen minutes. The Ministry recognizes that this donation will enhance the Ministry’s capacity to test and provide a timely response to affected persons. Ambassador Remus Li-Kuo Chen handed over the tests during a small ceremony during which C.E.O. Doctor Deysi Mendez expressed the government’s appreciation for Taiwan’s assistance, especially during the pandemic.
