Ministry of Health Gets Laptops
To help overcome disruptions to the delivery of healthcare during COVID-19, District Health Educators are getting a technology boost this week. Nine senior officers from the Health Education and Community Participation Bureau (HECOPAB) are being equipped with laptops, cases and projectors for use during training sessions with community health workers. According to the Ministry of Health and Wellness, this enhanced instruction covers all six districts and focuses on COVID-19 prevention and control, and non-communicable diseases and chronic conditions that may cause increased vulnerability during the pandemic. PAHO/W.H.O. Technical Advisor, Doctor Jorge Polanco handed over the donated items to Doctor Javier Zuniga and Kathleen Cho, on behalf of Doctor Diaz-Musa and the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
