A Vaccination Simulation Exercise
In preparation for the vaccine roll out across the country in the coming weeks, a simulation exercise was conducted by the Ministry of Health and Wellness last week. Doctor Natalia Largaespada Beer breaks down that process and the gaps identified for setting up vaccination stations outside of a medical facility.
Dr. Natalia Largaespada Beer, Maternal & Child Health Technical Advisor, M.O.H.W.
“In health facilities it is much easier because everything is there ready. The exercise that we did was working outside of a health facility, what are the different stations that will be needed for the administration of the vaccines. We had positive results. We identified gaps in the way how we are planning to set up the outreach vaccination sites. But for the health facilities that will be easy because it will be done by hospital.”
