Minister of Health & Wellness Breaks the Silence on DHS Debacle

The controversy over the embattled Director of Health Services, Doctor Marvin Manzanero has been playing out in the media for the past two weeks, with little to no word from the Ministry of Health and Wellness. Today, Minister Michel Chebat confirmed to News Five’s Duane Moody that in fact as the country is in the midst of fighting a pandemic, it has lost both its DHS and the acting DHS, Doctor Melissa Diaz-Musa.

“Here at the ministry, we have a team of individuals working, we have a team of doctors working. And so while the position itself may not have somebody occupying that seat at the moment, the work of the office of the DHS continues because our deputy director is carrying on some of those duties as well as other doctors here at the Ministry of Health. And so the message is to reassure the public that we have a team of doctors working to make sure that the work is being done properly.”
