Only 64% of Healthcare Workers Have Taken the Vaccine to Date
While the Ministry of Health and Wellness pushes for those sixty and older to take the vaccine, it also has to do a bit more education among its own healthcare workers. As we’ve showed you, on March first, the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccination programme started with healthcare workers and while the vaccinations continue for that group, to date just over sixty percent of those healthcare workers have taken the vaccine. Here’s why.
Dr. Natalia Largaespada Beer, Maternal & Child Health Technical Advisor, M.O.H.W.
“We are at sixty-four percent with the healthcare workers and still counting.”
Andrea Polanco
“Is there a reason why perhaps we are not at seventy-five or closer to a hundred for healthcare workers?”
Dr. Natalia Largaespada Beer
“Well, some facilities are very high and some are a bit low. It has to do with the access to information and comprehending the information and sometimes because we have too much information we get caught up into that that also. But we are still continuing with the sensitization sessions of our healthcare workers as they are critical to the public.”
