PM Encourages Belizeans to Ignore the Conspiracy Theories and Get Vaccinated

During his presentation at today’s event in Orange Walk, PM Briceño encouraged Belizeans to go get vaccinated.  He says he already got his first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine. With over two hundred thousand doses of vaccine already in country, and an anticipated one hundred thousand plus doses expected to arrive in country shortly, PM Briceño, who recently lost a dear friend to the virus, made a personal plea for everyone to get vaccinated.

“I urge everybody, please make sure you go and take your vaccination. If you do not want to do it for yourself, do it for your loved ones. Do to for your family. Do to for your friends and the people you are going around. The only way we can control the spread of this virus and the only way we can stay healthy is by getting vaccinated. I know there are all kind of conspiracy theories, and where people come up with that, but at the end of the day you must listen to the science. We have lost a lot of people. Just about two weeks ago, I lost a friend, Freddy Ayuso. Apparently when they did an autopsy, they found out he had COVID. And so, COVID is still around. And if we want to have a better Christmas than last year, please get vaccinated. We are getting the vaccines, and hopefully very soon we will be making the announcement of another huge donation of vaccines we are getting.”
