Minister of Health Updates Nation on Hospital Capacity for COVID Cases
There are three hundred and twelve active COVID-19 cases tonight. The latest data for today shows forty-three new cases, one new death and three hospitalizations. Today, Minister Michel Chebat gave a rundown of the ministry’s COVID-19 beds and medical equipment at hospitals across the country.

“In relations to our hospitals, at the K.H.M.H. we have available up to thirty-three COVID beds and twenty-four ventilators. In San Pedro, we have three COVID beds. At Corozal Community Hospital we have twenty we have twenty; at the Northern Regional Hospital in Orange Walk we have fourteen; at the Western Regional Hospital we have twenty-eight beds and six ventilators; at the Southern Regional we have five; at the San Ignacio Community Hospital we have eight and at the Punta Gorda Community Hospital we also have eight. In addition, we have six ventilators on standby and ready to be deployed. This, Madam Speaker, is in addition to other equipment and other supplies that the government has deployed to the KHMH and other community hospitals which include defibrillators, EKG machines; infusion pumps; patient monitors; IV stands and patient trolleys, to name a few.”
