Area Rep Usher Calls Protestors “Anarchists”

P.U.P. Area Representative for Fort George, Henry Charles Usher, says the black “Free Belize” flag being flown by those in protest, is a flag of anarchy. Usher says their protest for freedom is only helping to push freedom further into the future for Belize.

“I know there are some that are skeptical of the vaccine. But, certainly this is our best tool against the pandemic in the fight against COVID. And so, once again, I appeal to all Belizeans to go and get your vaccine. I remember last year this time we were saying prayers that we were hoping a vaccine will soon come. We were hoping they would find some medical breakthrough to deal with COVID. A year later, when the vaccine is here, we have those who refuse to get it. It is quite ironic I believe. And certainly, for those flying that black flag of anarchy, because the black flag is a symbol of anarchy, for those flying that black flag, to me all they are doing is pausing freedom further away. They are pushing the return to normalcy further away by refusing to listen to the scientist, refusing to listen to the doctors.”
