Families from Same Home Can Celebrate, Just Don’t Go to Large Gatherings

One doctor at least is glad to see the Police Department is planning to crack down on planned New Year’s Eve gatherings. Dr. Shanna Pott, a general physician, was a guest on Open Your Eyes Morning Show. She says she grew concerned seeing the advertisements on social media.

“I was very glad to see the press release, because all these events, the fliers promoting events, events that were starting from the morning up until the night. It was very concerning. Just scrolling social media you kept seeing it pop up in San Pedro, Belize City, all these party places. And so, it was very concerning. So, I was very glad to see that. I hope that our people abide by this. I believe that families from the same households, they are living together so there is no issue with that. But, if we are discussing from visiting each other’s home, well then if you can afford it you need to get tested and make sure everybody is negative before you do something like that. But, I don’t think that is being recommended either.”
